- I live in western Pennsylvania. I'm happily married to my high school sweetheart. I'm a former forensic auditor for the U.S. Department of Education OIG. Prior to that I spent more than a decade in restaurant management. I'm a Penn State University alumni. I have a BS in Accounting with an emphasis in economics. I'm a fan of the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins & the Penn State Nittany Lions. I'm a member of the reality based community - the one where facts & credible evidence are essential elements of forming reality based opinions. Because of this I often find myself in major disputes with the members of the (not so) reality based community - the one where revisionist history, misinformation, calumny & every other dishonest method is employed. These people are more interested in managing the perceptions of others to make them fit their political ideology. They know all to well that for most folks perception is reality.... regardless of the facts.
